TRIP #5 - ANNAPOLIS TO CHESTERTOWN

JULY 26 - 30

SULTANA’s final trip of the summer will see her voyage from Annapolis, “America’s Sailing Capital,” back to her home port of Chestertown on the historic Chester River. Your trip begins with a brief tour of Annapolis followed by an introductory under-sail training session in Annapolis Harbor - one of the world’s premier sailing locations. On the first evening SULTANA will make her way north under the Chesapeake Bay Bridge before anchoring for the evening near Gibson Island in the Magothy River. Mid-week SULTANA will voyage across the Chesapeake Bay and into the historic Chester River where you will overnight on Wednesday at a working 18th century farm on Langford Creek. The second half of the trip will leave ample time to explore the Chester River’s mostly undeveloped shoreline and sail on her open waters before making the final trip up the river to Chestertown on Friday.
