The schooner Sultana is the ultimate classroom for learning about the history and environment of the Chesapeake Bay. An almost exact replica of a British schooner that patrolled the North American coast just prior to the American Revolution, Sultana is capable of providing day-long programs for up to 32 participants as well as live-aboard programs for up to nine guests. On board, students travel back in time to the “Age of Sail” and participate in hands-on activities that are interactive, informative and fun. Sultana’s award-winning, under-sail programs are available in a variety of formats and can be tailored to meet the academic needs of any group.
